We are back! Welcome to the new Netmax!

Wow. It's just been over two years since the last blog entry. Social media has also been sleeping. What's been going on?

Why the radio silence?

Short and sweet: There was a lot of internal confusion and details to sort out. Details may perhaps be an understatement. Maybe someone even noticed: There is no trace of the "old" Netmax Cloud on this page and the page about viewMAX is quite spartan in contrast to the rest of the product pages.

The old Netmax Cloud and what has become of it.

The fact that there is no trace of the old Netmax Cloud is simply due to the fact that we stopped the development for multiple reasons. This process alone cost a lot of nerves and time.

But out of the ashes like a phoenix rises the now by and large completed Netmax Cloud and we are proud to present it now.

There will also soon be a blog post completely just about the new cloud and its journey. Look forward to it!

The website

Another thing that has changed quite a bit is our website. It's not a complete rewrite, as the same technology and structure is still under the bonnet, but the layout - especially the navigation and page design - have taken a huge leap forward.

Some people will certainly notice that the knowledgebase is no longer on the site and there is still no trace of the shop that was announced.

The Knowledgebase

The Knowledgebase and its absence from this page have a simple reason: it was not used. The customers who wanted to search for themselves still had the old Netmax Wiki stored somewhere or googled it, and the customers who didn't want to search wrote an email directly to us.

And that is perfectly legitimate. But: In the long run, the Wiki will really move to our support portal, which is already online on a test basis. There are no articles there yet, but at the moment it is "only" a ticket system. More on this will follow in a subsequent blog post.

The hardware shop

Funnily enough, this was about to go online integrated on the site. But due to an honest dissatisfaction with the user experience, this is now the next construction site. Our hardware shop will probably run directly on Shopify with a slight integration on this website. This will allow for full security, best UX experience and standards that most customers are used to.

But more on that in the coming weeks.

What comes next?

We at Netmax are now primarily concerned with two or three construction sites:

  1. webshop
  2. marketing the cloud
  3. consultation with our software partner regarding an extension of the cloud solution.

I will come to point 3 in the next blog post. This will appear on 11.09.2023 and will be completely about the cloud!
